Re: I want Fog lights. Any suggestions?

I am also trying to add fog lights. I bought a switch from a wrecked five hundred and now I am currently clueless on how to wire them. :? I have also been looking at trying to get the automatic feature to work. It would help if i could find any wiring diagrams online, but i have had no luck so far! ...

Correct Exhaust flange gasket

Hello, About two years ago I began to get an exhaust leak between the right (rear) exhaust manifold and the flange causing a terrible ticking noise. I replaced it with a new gasket and now I have it again. I have realized that rockauto carries several different gasket types and I'm not sure which is...

Re: RE: Re: Creak while pressing gas

I have some good news....I think? I have found the source of the creak. It is the engine mount that is back by the firewall and just right of center. I have read numerous times that ANCHOR brand aftermarket are crap. I found another brand by DEA. I will post to see if any feedback on the quality of...

Re: Passenger window no op

When it doesn't work do you try the other window switch to try to get it up? It sounds like it could be the driver side window controls.

Re: RE: Re: Creak while pressing gas

I had the clunking almost rattling driving over little bumps. I swapped out the sway bar end links for a.pair Moog greasable. Resolved problem. Regarding the single clunk with movement which you originally posted....the clunk sounds like it is coming from the center of the engine/ engine compartmen...

Re: RE: Re: Creak while pressing gas

I have 2007 500. I do not have a solution for you. But i did just post a new topic about lower mounts. Our issues sound similar . One single creak occurs when the cars initiates movement only. Not associated with turns or bumps or shifting gear shift or braking or temperature. Only one single creak...

Re: Ford Five Hundred - P0174 Code Keeps Coming Back

I had an issue with my five hundred awhile back with the repeated code P0193 fuel pressure high input. It ended up being a faulty fuel pressure regulator. Might be something to look into. I didn't have the other codes though, just the one.

Creak while pressing gas

Hello I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred (w/ CVT) it has 230,000 miles and the other day since it turned cold it started to make a creak sound when first pressing the gas (like when starting to move). It sounds like the strut mount when turning issue, but this happening when not turning and the strut m...

2005 Ford Five Hundred Clunks over speed bumps

Hello I need help figuring out what a loud clunk going over speed bumps could be on my 2005 ford five hundred. (It has 230,000 miles) It's for sure coming from the front passenger side. I believe it may be a bad engine mount or bad lower control arm bushing. The car has new struts and strut mounts. ...

Re: What struts for 2005 Five Hundred

The two different part numbers would be for FWD versus AWD. The AWD suspension is approximately 1 inch higher. If they don't specify the difference on the site, you should probably call them to be sure you order the correct set. FWD rear struts are 'normal'. AWD rear struts are Nivomat self-adjusti...

Re: five hundred front end noise

I researched and not been able to find any thread with anyone having the same noise I am having from my 2005 ford five hundred. There is a loud clunk coming from the front passenger wheel and possibly passenger rear when going over large speed bumps. Would this be more likely to be from bad upper st...

Re: Recall 06S45 - Five Hundred, Montego Door Latch Freezing

I had this issue for the past 3 winters and cannot resolve the problem on my 2005 ford five hundred. We called the dealer when we researched and found the recall but our local Ford dealer told us that my vehicle wasn't under the recall because it wasn't in a certain state. Is this true? After reread...

Re: Front Bumper Replacement

I've recently replaced my front bumper cover because the old one was cracked in several places. You can get a great quality front bumper cover on Rockauto.com just make sure and spend the extra money and get the CAPA certified bumper. It's made like the oem bumper. I think it cost around 200$ includ...

P0193 code

On my 2005 ford five hundred I keep getting a repeated check engine light with the code P0193 Ford - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input. I researched this code and it says it's possible that the Rail Pressure (FRP) Sensor is going bad. Would this be smart to replace first or would somethin...

Re: Water from trunk vent flaps

I had that problem with water inside my rear doors until I cleaned behind that bottom seal real good. It turned out there were parts of leafs, dirt, etc clogging it. I haven't had the problem again after cleaning out those holes on the bottom of the door. Hopefully the same will work for you!

Thanks for the reply! I will try the duct tape over the vents to see if that is the cause or if it is something else like you said.

Water from trunk vent flaps

I have discovered that i am getting water on both sides of my trunk in my 2005 ford five hundred (behind the carpet) where the two trunk vent flaps are located. I'm almost positive the vents are my problem but I can not find a replacement vent or any information on the subject online. I was wonderin...
