Engine Cover

Wondering if any of Lincoln 3.7L engine covers would fit my similarly powered 2017 PIS. Would like to dampen the noise a tad. I see a couple part #s listed. Anybody have an idea which would work (if any)?

Re: New Member, 2017 PIS

welcome to the club! Thanks a lot! Been enjoying the car so far. I'm starting to think it was some sort of a show car for Ford. Jacky Jones presently has for sale the car that was built right after mine (mine is HG100040, they now have HG100041). That car is black, Ecoboost, and has all kinds of op...

Re: New Member, 2017 PIS

I remember seeing this one for sale, didn’t last long. That color is striking and not commonly seen on the Taurus. That car is loaded with options and low mileage, very nice find overall. That dealer tends to get their hands on some good ex police/demo vehicles. Prices are steep however. I agree, p...

it will be a red button just left and above the ignistion key . Tomorrow morning I will post a picture of it .
On my 2017 it's a black button directly South of the headlight switch.

Interestingly enough - my 2013 PI came with a plastic card that has the car keycode on it - but the panel does not light up or respond to presses.
My 2017 came with that card also, but there IS no panel.

I have a non-turbo, and I get 15mpg...but I drive it like I stole it.
That's about what my Exploriceptor gets in town (improves to 18ish on the freeway). The Taurus manages 18/23 or so. Both non-turbos.

My CVPI got better mileage than the Taurus does.
The CVPI had between 135 and 145 fewer horsepower. Them fewer horses were only driving one axle, too.

Re: Headlight switch automatic lights upgrade PI sedan

FWIW, I had the same issue on my 2017 Exploriceptor which came with all sorts of stuff EXCEPT for auto headlights. I purchased the correct switch and sensor (the wiring was already under there) and went so far as to take it to my local dealer (with whom I have a very good relationship). They put one...

Greetings to my fellow Tauriceptorists (Tauriceptarians?)! Long-time emergency vehicle enthusiast, on-and-off EMS and Fire Support volunteer of over 20 years, but a relatively new (under a year) Police Interceptor owner here. Bought my first one, a 2017 Utility with just under 300 miles back in July...
