Wiring bad ? connector making a bad connection ? or is this code telling you the coolant temp is too low, meaning the thermostat is stuck open?

Re: Flush and/or filter change?

If there is no drain plug, the way to go is to disconnect one of the ATF coolant line to or from the radiator, put the disconnected end in a pail, and start the engine for a few seconds until about a gallon flushes out. Stop the engine. Top up the transmission with fresh ATF, same quantity that flus...

Re: First major snow storm in AWD PI Taurus, and . . got stuck

The stability control system has to be switched to 'disabled' or 'off' when rocking the car, else it is much less effective. Snow tires would have helped also. Four seasons tires are much less efficient in deep snow.

Many V6 engines have 2 camshaft pos sensors. Dont know about the 05 Taurus. If it does, maybe the bad one was not changed?

Re: Ford 500 brake slider pins

I found the same rubber bushings on all models of cars I haved worked on. I question myself which one goes top and bottom? So at one point I stopped questionning myself and just reinstalled them randomly. The last guy who serviced yours probably did the same. I experienced no negative effect on brak...

Re: Glove Box attachment

The arm with a piston like head, you are holding in your hand, slides inside the tube, pretty much like a shock absorber works. This gives the glove box a soft dampened motion when it opens, preventing it from "falling" suddenly when opening. The 2 rubber bands on the tube help keep the arm aligned ...

I have had cars with rear disc brake system for more than 10 years now, both domestic and imports. In average I had to change rotors and pads around 50000 - 80000 km.
