Clicking sound at front wheels when turning

Post by dmharvey79 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 3:16 am

Just a heads up about a discussion I've been having on another forum. At a bout 10k miles I started noticing a clicking sound from the front wheels of my 2013 SHO. I mentioned it during my last oil change and the tie rod ends were bad on both sides. Apparently others are having similar problems so it sounds like Ford got a bad batch of tie rod ends from their vendor. I'm having the tie rod ends replaced under warranty tomorrow.

Update: dealership replaced the tie rod ends under warranty and the clicking sound is still there. They are reaching out to Ford and they said they'll let me know when they hear something.

My guess the clicking is coming from a bad strut mount.
