Be aware that your transmission may still be covered under the factory powertrain warranty. The warranty for the police interceptors is 5 years and I think 100,000 miles. The transmission in my 2013 was making a moaning/gear-whine noise when shifting into 5th and 6th gear. I brought it to a Ford dealer and took the service manager for a test drive and demonstrated the issue. He admitted it didn't sound right, and Ford installed a new transmission at no charge. I give kudos to Ford for standing behind their police interceptor powertrains.
