I am going to be replacing both the front struts and rear shocks on my 2013 PI/w Ecoboost.

Has anyone else done this yet, and if so what were the parts you used?

Is there a quick strut available for it?

If you are looking for parts try including Taurus SHO PP in your terms. They should be quite similar. The PP Performance Package incorporated many of the mechanical PI Sedan parts as an upgrade to the standard SHO.

Ok, for the shocks:
OEM DG1Z18125A, or Monroe Service Service Shock 550058

However, it is kind of a nightmare tracking down the struts.

When searching by the VIN of my car, I get the following OEM Parts for the struts: DG1Z18124U, DG1Z18124W, DG1Z18124X, and DG1Z18124Y. Which are the right and left pairs of two different sets of parts which the only difference seems to be that one set has painted calipers.

Those part numbers are listed as the parts that the Monroe Quickstruts 272653 and 272654 replace. However nowhere do I find those Quick Struts as parts for a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor w/h Turbo. I do find them as replacement parts for a 2013 Taurus SHO which turbo is standard with, which also has the OEM parts listed above. On some websites it lists the Monroe Quick Struts 272653 and 272654 as parts for 2013 Ford Taurus SHO with Police Package (Is there such a thing?) to confuse things even more.

Also I should note that Monroe Struts 553013 and 553012 are listed as parts for the 13 PI w/h turbo. They are listed as a premium severe service strut, and again replace the OEM models for the 13 PI w/h turbo.

Nowhere did I find struts that were associated with a Taurus SHO with Performance Package.

With the multiple OEM part numbers, I am wondering if there is a different performance profile associated with the different sets.

I have emailed Monroe, and Rockauto do see if they can help clear up things. I will update as I find out more.

SHO Police Package is probably a mistranslation of the "Highly desirable" PP option which is officially "Performance Package" but is actually adding some of the Police interceptor suspension and brakes plus gear ratios.
So same thing.

Well I heard back from both of them.

There does not appear to be a Quick Strut Kit for the PI. The return rate from the strut kits is different than OEM spec, which I assume has something to do with the spring used in the Quick Strut kit.

Just for reference OEM Strut Spring #DG1Z-5310-N - Police Interceptor Sedan. Taurus. Without painted calipers. 2013-17, 3.5L, turbo, with sho pkg 1

Having said that I will likely end up going with the Monroe Premium severe service struts new OEM springs and the Monroe Server Service shocks as well. I am going to have to see if I need to replace all other strut hardware as well.

Just an update.

Replaced my shocks/struts and springs. Quite an improvement.

Sadly also I needed my sway bars replaced which was done.

However they also discovered my tierods and my rear wheel bearings are on their way out as well.

Hello. I’m looking at getting new struts installed but I want a heavier duty coil so there won’t be any sag. I was wondering since urs are pretty new struts and coils could you tell me ur ride height? From the bottom of the wheel well fender to the ground. Thanks
