It wasn't in the spreadsheet, I looked for that address that Joh150413 posted earlier in the thread for his 2016, found it in the BCM module with FordScan made the change and tested to see if it worked on my 2014 - hint: it did

Let us know if it works for you!
Cool. Thanks. I'm still learning Forscan, so I'm hesitant to make changes. But so far, it's been really great to make changes to the car. I'll have to set back the IPC to what it was, which was disabled. I wasn't sure what the Advancetrac was or what it did.

Thanks again.

I always take a screen cap so I can restore the original settings if they don't work out.

I don't see 726-12-01 in the spreadsheet at all. I guess it shows up in the programming. How did you determine it was that line to change? I thought it was the IPC module change for sure.
A little deductive reasoning and trial and error. 8)

I made the change in the 726-12-01 area and it worked!!! I did go back and change the other area that I changed in 720-01-03 area to be off again and the headlights work!!. Thanks guys. I'm always amazed at this stuff. I'm still trying to fix my speaker mic for the phone, someone hacked the wiring in the ceiling. Trying to find a photo of how it should look.

So what is needed to be done to make auto lamps work on a 2013 PI?

I tried this on my 2013 PI. It does not work for me. It actually disables my rear brake lights and only lets my third brake light function. Has anyone tried this on a 2013 PI yet or if this happens to anyone else?
Upon further testing, you are correct.

The proper settings are:

Enable delay menu in the IPC
720-01-03 - xxxx xxxx Change to --- 9xxx xxxx

Enable Autolamp
726-12-01 - xxxx xxxx Change to --- xxx1 xxxx

Should work on 2013 up.

I tried both those changes, but the change for the IPC does not work for me. If it helps, my code for 720-01-03 is 8008 0000 B3.

Did you try just the change for 726-12-01? That should enable autolamp with a 20 second delay. The IPC mod is not necessary to enable autolamp, only for the delay selection.

If that doesn't work I don't know what to suggest. i can only test on my 2016.

Somehow I screwed up my rear brake lights. I went back changed the IPC setting back to what it was I believe from scratch.

Only made the changes in settings 726-12-01 to what you see in the photo. I only have the 3rd brake light working and no rears. Hit the hazard and confirmed that the bulbs are all working, so somewhere I screwed up something between the two areas I changed.

I do have DRL enabled, to use the turn lamps. Those with the 2014 model, is all that you changed the 726-12-01 area? I never changed the last 2 digits, they were as they were set when I connected to the car.

My kids driving the car, so I'm trying to correct it. And of course it's snowing in PA. The snow seems to collect over the 3rd brake light. Plus, it's a pain in the a$# to test if you are all by yourself. I found I can wedge the snowbrush into the seat and depress the brake pedal. Not sure what I did.

UPDATE: So I went and turned off the 726-12-01 settings back to default and I have brake lights.

I think enabling the DRL, also must turn on the auto lamp function. I shut the car off and the lights went off after 20 seconds. The headlights did come on when I started the car, but it's dark, snowing and I'm hoping that's why they are on. Have to check on a sunny day.

For those who enabled just the 726-12-01, did you also have DRL on or off?

The bit that disables the brake lights is in 726-12-01.

Enabled x0xx xxxx

Disabled x1xx xxxx

So if I enabled the 726-12-01, but make the changes you suggest, then it should work. Right now the lights are on but its pretty crappy out and dark.

For some reason, I had 726-12-01 0101-000C in there, seeing the 1 that would have killed the lights.
Makes sense. SO just enabling DRL, will not enable the lights to come on at night. I can't tell till it's sunny out but will go back and change this. Thanks.

That's how I did it, if there's an easier way, let us know.
I found an easier way.

Take two narrow plastic trim tools, position them at 9 and 3 on the larger outer bezel, and pop it right off. Swap switch, and pop it right back in.

Also, I did the switch, I have DRLs set to turn signals, and autolamp is on in Forscan.

...and my lights are on in bright daylight...back to square one...

FWIW, I had the same issue on my 2017 Exploriceptor which came with all sorts of stuff EXCEPT for auto headlights. I purchased the correct switch and sensor (the wiring was already under there) and went so far as to take it to my local dealer (with whom I have a very good relationship). They put one of their most experienced techs on the job and he was unable to reprogram it even with IDS, so now my lights function like DRLs + taillights. Good enough for me.
