Interceptor steering issue

Post by Shooktown » Tue Dec 18, 2018 7:05 pm

Ok here we go, need help bad folks
2013 interceptor had battery light on and off. Eventually it stayed on and then steering started going into a manual mode.
Then while driving steering stopped and dash lit up like a xmas tree. Car died and had to tow home. So now it does start but steering doesn’t work. Alternator and battery checked and are ok. Previous recalls have been done according to ford. Need help on this cause dealer will wipe me out if it goes there.

Not sure if this includes Sedan Interceptor as they consider it a different car from the Taurus.

The light came on my car for power steering and i called the dealership because their was recall for power steering but only for certain vin numbers. Even though it was the same problem. I had to order a whole new rack and pinion and my steering wheel went back to normal
