Anyone know the symptoms of PTU distress?

Post by GonzoWerke » Fri Dec 28, 2018 5:25 am

I ask, because when it came back from the dealer, it had a rythmic vibration it did not have before. Of course, the dealer says it had it when they got it. Yesterday A TPMS warning went off, and I checked my pressures when I got home, and what did I find(besides a low RF)??? My RR was at 50 psi!!! All others were at 35. Is that enough of a diameter change to affect the PTU?
All 4 are at 35 now, and I will be doing a test drive today to see if it goes away. I'm wondering why the tech filled one tire to 50.*

*Yes, it kills me to let someone else work on it, but a waterpump was more than I wanted to attempt with my toolset. Lesson learned.

Nope. Proper pressure did not make the vibe go away.
