Stainless steel brake lines- any sources

Post by PFFCO » Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:20 pm

Has anyone sourced and installed a set of stainless steel brake lines on there PI at all? I've been looking but keep getting told that don't fit that car.

Ones for the Taurus SHO PP should be the same.

I thought the braking system was different. When I talked to Goodridge, they told me that the PI brakes were different and some people had issues trying to install them,, so they took them off the market recently. I'll have to look again. I have them on my SRT and I've scared myself when I really had to hit the brakes. I'm sure the PI will be the same.

I read somewhere the PI brakes are completely different because of the constant beating they get, if I come across it again I'll post.

Thanks. I was actually just researching this. I had a feeling they were totally different. The guy at Goodridge told me that they were and that they pulled their PI brake line kit because some people had trouble putting them on. I'm sure someone out there makes a set for these cars.

I sent an email to Goodridge earlier and he just replied at 1130 at night.. He is going to do some research on their end and see if he can determine what fittings are on the PI and what they might be able to do.

According to the online Ford parts catalog, all Taurus 2013-2018 use the same brake hoses, front and rear.
