Tire pressure monitoring system

Post by nate12387 » Wed Oct 23, 2019 1:06 pm

Hi guys,

Do the 2016 police interceptor sedans come with tpms? Mine either doesn't work or didn't come with it. My tire has been pretty low before and nothing pops up. I checked forscan and it is turned on.

Thanks,

Nathan

Yes they do, they became standard after 2013.

Maybe it's turned off? I noticed mine was not working and it was disabled in programming. There is the option to enable/disable in Forscan.

Last time I checked forscan it was definitely enabled. Forscan was the 1st thing I checked.

I was surprised that there was even an option to turn it off. Thinking of safety.

Will it work in 2013 models or just 2014 and newer?

It’ll work from 2013 and up. Tested in a friend’s 2013, can confirm you can disable and enable the TPMS. So yes, should work.

The TPMS became standard on Ford police interceptors starting in 2008 with the CVPI. It's been in all the Ford police vehicles since 2008+
