Any idea what this part is?

Post by rich4205 » Mon Jun 03, 2019 1:36 pm

I have a 2006 Ford 500. The other day I noticed this part was on the front passenger side floor. I don't know what it is. But apparently it fell out of the area of the glove box. I looked around up there but couldn't really see any place that it came from. Can anyone identify it and let me know what it goes to?

Kinda looks like part of a glove box door damper. Does the glove box door come down normally or drop fast?
2000 Ford Taurus SEL (excellent car, sold to a friend)
1992 Mercury Sable GS (good car except for the tranny, sold)

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes it is part of the glove box dampener that prevents the glove box from just dropping down.
