Asia Motors Inc. of Melrose Park, IL

Post by 9C3 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 1:35 am

This dealer has a nice inventory and may want to kick the tires on one of their cars. Curious to know if anyone has ever used them, or know of them. Looking for opinions on this place. I can’t drive out there for myself being that I’m in NJ. Any feedback on this place is greatly appreciated.

They always have a bunch of stuff on ebay. Feedback seems good, so...

Bought a couple of cars from them - a previous CVPI and my current 2014. Decent guys to work with.

Eventually found what I was looking for (a 2014 or newer 3.5 with under 60k) called and negotiated a bit, then I dropped a $500 paypal deposit. They agreed it was refundable if I didn't end up with the car.

I booked a one way flight to Cancun, MX that had a layover in ORD for the upcoming Saturday. I just got off the plane in Chicago (skipping the CUN segment, and saving about $400, see skiplagged.com for details :-), Ubered over to Asia Motors (about 7 miles from the airport).

Checked out the car, short test drive. Handed over the check, went across the street to fill up with gas and then proceeded to make a 15 hour test drive back to Virginia. Got the title via FedEx about a week and a half later.

Had I decided not to take that specific vehicle? They had about 100 other vehicles on the lot, a mix of CVPI's, Chargers, Taurus PI's, Explorers, Tahoes, etc and they even had a former border patrol Raptor on site, I would have just picked something else up instead. :-)

they always seem to have good inventory - i have noticed tho, on the really "good" deals you have to check the Carfax for accidents/airbag deployments and title condition. and sometimes if you search on the VIN you'll see where the vehicle was bought from auction or Copart.

They seem to have carved themselves a niche of serving the more affordable price range as compared to dealers who carry "as new" cars. Most of their stuff looks pretty clean with decent miles, and the inventory is always pretty large.

They are pretty good. Another good one in the area is Chicago motors. That's where I got my 13 eb sedan with the admin. Package

I have bought two CVPI's from Asia Motors. A 2007 back in 2009 for $7999 and a 2011 back in 2013 for $8999. Both were in fantastic shape and never had any mechanical issues with any of them. Bought them both well under 100,000 miles. Had the 2007 until 150K and traded her, and had the 2011 to 173K until I got in an accident with it, otherwise I'd still have that car.

Drove from CT to Asia Motors in Chicago to pick up my 2007, and had my 2011 delivered to my house for a $500 fee. I would not hesitate to buy another car from them.
