Enabling Ford PI Sedan Oil Maintenance Reminder Alert?

Post by detkay » Sun Dec 01, 2019 2:03 am

Does anyone know if the 2013+ FPIS has an oil maintenance reminder alert (alerts when your oil change is coming up) that most vehicles has these days? I've heard some do have that option, but most don't and will need to be enabled. Does anyone know how to enable it either through ForScan, or needs to be enabled through dealer tools? If its through dealer, what are the steps? I do have access to full dealer setup (IDS).

Do you know how its enabled? Via As-Built data in ForScan or via IDS?

Shortly after I got my 2015 I had a message pop up. Dismissed it and it came back each time I started the car. Changed the oil, then hunted in the menus until I found the spot to reset it. Did so.
Realized while doing so that there is a oil life percentage indicator option in the menus in the same section.

My car has never been changed via forscan.

the oil reminder should be enabled by default, although it is now an on and off pre-programmed option in forscan, under IPC (non as-built tab). ver 28.

It's weird, I mean I can see the Oil Life Percentage Indicator, but not the Oil Service Reminder. The dealership started to put the Oil Service Reminder sticker on the split light bar instead of the windshield because of the inner edges up front lol. Was just thinking if there was a option to have the reminder in any way! I haven't checked on ForScan in the longest time, will give it another shot.
