2018 Taurus?? Any Information??

Post by RogerThat99 » Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:18 pm

I have a 2015 SEL AWD with a 105,000 miles on it. I am wanting to order a new Taurus. Does anyone have any information on the 2018's? Any changes from the 2017? I

I was originally told I couldn't order a 2018 until Mid August, then it moved to Mid October. I am just curious if there is a body style change. I heard there will be a whole new platform in a couple of years.

Thanks,

RT99

Lots of talk about the Taurus being done right now....lol. Ford doesnt want this car anymore. Much like the previous full-size sedan they had, the Crown Victoria, they dont market/advertise it so people can not really take notice of what a great car it is. They instead want to push people to the Fusion.

Last I heard, they were looking to adopt the China version of the Taurus possibly for 2018. I've been to China a few times, and have seen it in person, it's a hot looking car. It's basically a fancy extended version of the Ford fusion.

I picked up my 2018 SEL AWD today. The Exterior is exactly the same as my 2015, and the interior is mostly the same with a different instrument cluster, stereo, and cup holders, and back to a key ignition.

I have put almost 8,000 miles on the new Taurus. They really are great driving cars. The Sync in this car does not seem to be as accurate on the voice recognition as the old car was. I also really miss the lock / unlock feature on the door handles, as well as the trunk release in the license plate well.

Other than that, the car has been great. I have driven it in the snow and the desert.
