Replacing 12V plug?

Post by GhostRider » Thu May 10, 2018 6:22 am

How do you replace this? I think mine is worn out since my phone charger doesn’t seem to connect right suddenly. Thanks!

dissassemble surrounding area and unplug from rear. id check power via multimeter first, but you should be able find pn via web if looking for a new one

12V plugs are ridiculously simple devices. Yours looks completely fine, I wouldn't replace it just yet, I'd try the phone charger in another car or two to see if the problem might be with it.

Charger is fine elsewhere. How do you pop this plug out?

As i said earlier, you'll have to disassemble the dash/panneling and remove from rear. Usually, there will be tabs holding it in place - depress and push through.
