2011 Ford Taurus rear suspension overhaul

Post by zogthegreat » Wed Oct 30, 2019 6:44 pm

Hi everyone!

I have a 2011 Taurus SEL. While changing a bad rear wheel bearing, I noticed that my rear adjustable lateral arm on both sides have worn out. My Taurus only has 113,000 km/ 70,000 miles on it, but the roads where I live, (Quebec), are absolutely horrible. Plus they use a lot of salt. I mean, a lot of salt!

I've decided to essentially replace everything in the rear while trying to keep the cost's reasonable, (side note, I had most of my front end replaced under extended warranty last year). I'm planning to buy new adjustable lateral arms, stabilizer bar links and rear trailing arms and purchase new bushings for the rest and have them pressed in. I am trying to use the parts diagram at Ford Parts to order my parts:

https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/suspe ... -7873039-1

Thus far I have managed to figure out that I need the following:

6 x's 5A638 rear arm bushings, 3 for each side
2 x's 5A649 rear arm bushings, 1 for each side
2 x's Moog K201346 - 1 for each side - I can't find the OEM part number

Does this look right? Does any one have a part number for the rear trailing arms bushing? I can see from this picture that the bushing appears to be changeable:
